Observations

 

Our classroom observation service has a number of components. The general way is as follows: First, we will observe a teacher during a class session of your choosing.  Second, we meet the teacher soon after and discuss the class session observed. If necessary, an improvement plan is made. The teacher is then observed again within two or so weeks to ensure that they have taken on board what they've learnt.

 

Our observations are intended to support the teacher in helping them to be able to self assess and identify strengths and areas for improvement and we therefore suggest you inform teachers that they are to be observed. We can then meet them as a group to go over any issues they may have and allay their fears. We are very open to adapting the stages after discussion with you.
